Glenelg Country School is seeking an Associate Director of Youth & Membership Programs. As the Associate Director of Youth & Membership Programs you will assist in the development, planning, implementation of, and management of the school’s various youth and membership programs (Extended Care, After School Enrichment classes, summer camp programs, private music lessons, and professional development opportunities for the students, staff, and community members). The ideal candidate will be a team oriented individual, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel, have a great sense of humor, and be able to lift about 20lbs.
Primary Responsibilities

Support the Director of Youth & Membership Programs to ensure effective operation of all after school programs, catered lunch service, school bus service, snack service, and all programs regarding Summer in the Country.

Secure and run all aspects of the after-school enrichment program.

Schedule and run fire drills for the after-school programs each month in accordance with regulations.

Serve as a liaison between the school and catered lunch company.

Serve as the contact for our school transportation. Plan, organize, and supervise the bus company in transporting children to and from school each day.

Answer internal and external phone calls and monitor building access for the Primary Building.

Assist in the overall function of the Primary Building for normal day to day activities.
Skills & Requirements

Highly proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office 365 and the interest in and ability to learn new software programs are required.

Excellent organizational skills, highly detailed-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to be inclusive in all interactions.

Professional experience in a school setting is preferred.

Experience running after school programs and summer camps is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
