Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Float (Summer)

Glenelg Country School is seeking a Summer Early Childhood Assistant Teacher beginning June 2023 through August 2023. The shift hours are 12:30 pm-6:00 pm. The Early Childhood Teaching Assistant will need to assist the lead teacher in supporting and nurturing the development of each child’s self-esteem, trust, and growing autonomy. To help assess children’s different and personal needs, temperament styles, and abilities. A TA needs to support the classroom team to plan and implement lesson plan activities and developmentally appropriate experiences. The successful candidate will participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, parent meetings, in-service training, and other meetings as directed. Glenelg is a state-licensed program. To maintain licensing requirements, teachers must complete at least 12 hours of continued training annually.

 

Additional required qualifications include: First Aid and CPR certification, 90-hour preschool and 45-hour infant toddler classes, and associate or bachelor’s degree candidates will be preferred.
