Glenelg Country School is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher starting in June through August. The Early Childhood Teaching Assistant will need to assist the lead teacher in supporting and nurturing the development of each child’s self-esteem, trust, and growing autonomy. To help assess children’s different and personal needs, temperament styles, and abilities. A TA needs to support the classroom team to plan and implement lesson plan activities and developmentally appropriate experiences. The successful candidate will participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, parent meetings, in-service trainings, and other meetings as directed. Glenelg is a state-licensed program, so teachers must complete at least 12 hours of continued training per year to maintain licensing requirements.
Additional required qualifications include: First Aid and CPR certification, 90-hour preschool and 45-hour infant toddler coursework, and associate or bachelor’s degree candidates are preferred.
