Position Summary
Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time Technology Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to faculty and staff. This position reports to the Director of Technology.
Essential Functions
- General computer and printer maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing school-owned computer systems
- Using management software to deploy software and updates
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading PC workstations, network hardware, and cabling as required
- Configuring and deploying Windows operating systems using imaging software
- Providing technical support to end users
- Configuring and deploying virus and malware detection and removal software
- Managing computer equipment on campus
- Maintaining inventory and documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and MCP certification preferred.
- Experience with MS Windows and MS Office.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft OS, MDM, and hardware repair are required.
- Scripting knowledge preferred.
- Experience with the following platforms is a plus: MS Windows 2008/2012 Server, Windows Defender, Active Directory/Group Policy, Dell Kace K1000/2000 series appliances, TCP/IP/Networking and VPNs, VMware Virtual Environments, Office 365.

- Ability to work independently.
- Applicants must be physically able to perform the essential functions of this position, which include lifting equipment weighing 25 pounds repeatedly and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Compensation Range: $45,000 – $52,000. GCS offers a robust benefits package including health insurances, retirement plan, and generous leave and holidays.
