Position Summary:
Glenelg Country School in Ellicott City, MD seeks an Upper School math educator to be a long-term substitute in the early fall of the 2024-2025 school year. The approximate dates are August 22, 2024-November 8, 2024.
Overview of Essential Functions:

The teaching assignment will include five sections of math at multiple levels in grades 9-12.

The long-term substitute will teach lessons as directed by the current teacher, who will provide planning and implementation guidance, and the Department Chair.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Comfort teaching a wide range of learners and integrating digital technologies to enhance the classroom experience are important. The successful candidate will also contribute to enrichment activities and help with supervision and additional duties as needed.

The employee is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, compute, handle, clean spills, tie shoe, zipper coats or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus with screens, white boards, printed material, and ability to see children in detail. The employee must be able to lift at least thirty pounds. The employee is also regularly required to climb two flights of stairs.
