Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon.
The GCS community is the heart of our school, and it runs on a full calendar. Fall brings Family Day and the All School Halloween Parade. Winter brings the Barnes & Noble Book Fair and Alumni Holiday Cheer. Spring brings Grandparents and Friends Day, the Gala in the Country, and All School Relay.
Families do more than attend. The Parent & Friends Association runs Teacher Appreciation Week and the fall Clothing Exchange. Students give back through Casual for a Cause and the Upper School Community Service Fair, averaging 50 volunteer hours a year. Alumni come home for the Dragon Career Expo and the senior Cracker Barrel, where recent alumni help seniors prepare for their freshman year of college.
From a family’s first Discovery Day to an alum’s tenth reunion, this is a school where community is so much more than a buzzword.
