Called “Little Dragons,” our nursery and preschool program follows the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, where children aged 2 to 3 are encouraged to express their ideas and emotions and embrace their inherent curiosity about the world around them. Teachers work closely with students in a small classroom setting, enabling students to explore everything from art and technology to physical education, music, and the natural world.

Lower School at GCS encompasses Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. Our project-based curriculum and one-on-one instruction is designed to teach children important study skills so that they understand how to learn. Group learning and project-solving activities encourage respect for others while also acting to instill the self-confidence so critical to long-term academic success.

Middle School can be a time of difficult and awkward position for many students. That is why our middle school program is specifically designed to meet the mental, social, and physical needs unique to adolescent and pre-teen children. Close student-faculty relationships and a strong sense of belonging to help your child excel in these formative years.

While college and a satisfying career remain the top goals for high school students across the country, less than half feel they’re ready for life after graduation. The College Counseling Office’s primary aim is to assist each student in conducting a thorough and successful college search. We believe in making the process a “team effort”—involving parents, teachers, advisors, coaches, and administrators—but encouraging each student to “own” the experience.

Discovery Days are an opportunity to show you around our beautiful campus, give you tours of the schools, and introduce you to the learning environment that will shape your child’s future. They are held on regular school days, providing our guests with a genuine look at the student experience.
