The All-School Relay is back and in-person in 2021!
This year, Dragons Give Green will benefit a special campaign to renovate Mulitz Theater.
We hope this will be the most successful Dragons Give Green day yet, but we need your help!
A day of pride for Glens and Elgs.
The All-School Relay is one of Glenelg Country School’s most treasured traditions. Five years ago, Dragons Give Green was launched as a way for the entire GCS community together on the day of the relay to cheer on Glens and Elgs and celebrate our love for our school through giving to the Annual Fund.
On Wednesday, May 26, GCS social media will light up for the return of the Relay, and we hope you’ll join us in Giving Green for the Mulitz! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for livestreams of Field Day activities including the relay, guest appearances from performing arts faculty (past and present!) and alumni, and many other surprises.
This is undoubtedly a challenging time for the entire GCS community, and the operating budget support of the Annual Fund is as crucial as ever. The Annual Fund supports faculty salaries and professional development so our teachers have the resources they need to shift to online learning, and all the technology and resources our Digital Dragons continue to access, even from their homes. Annual Fund gifts directly benefit GCS teachers and students and remain the primary philanthropic priority for GCS.
The Dragons Care Fund is designed to provide material support (food, supplies, equipment, technology, etc.) to GCS community members directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not intended for tuition remission or direct financial grants. Head of School Greg Ventre and the GCS Leadership Team, with the support of the Board of Trustees Advancement Committee, is responsible for the management and disbursement of funds and benefits.
