Position Summary:
Glenelg Country School seeks enthusiastic, creative, and qualified candidates to work part-time in our Extended Day afterschool program.
Overview of Essential Functions:
- It is the expectation that the Extended Day teachers will thoughtfully engage with children, ages 4 to 13, each afternoon.
- Teachers are responsible for supervising students, planning activities, and participating through care, interaction, activities, games, and projects.
- The hours are from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm Monday through Friday when school is in session.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Preference is given to those with experience in working with children or who are working toward training or a degree in the field of child care, child development, and education. Candidates must be available at least three days per week, at least 19 years old, and have a minimum of the 90-hour school-aged child care certification.
Administration:
All prospective employees must be able to clear background checks, as required by the State of Maryland.
