GCS is seeking a Assistant Girls Basketball Coach to be responsible for coaching, mentorship, skill and techniques instruction, and building a sense of community within the team, program, and school. The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach works under the guidance and in coordination with the Head Varsity Coach in achieving the school and program wide goals.
Overview of Essential Functions:
- Attend all team activities (games, practices, gatherings, meetings).
- Assist in the supervision of transportation to and from games as needed.
- Assist with email communication with players and families during the season
- Attend all required athletic department or league meetings.
- Responsible for all athletes, equipment, and facilities used while coaching.
- Coaches are responsible for reporting game results to athletic directors as well as responding to emails within 24 hours when in season.
Desired Education and Experience:
Previous High School, Club Level, or College Level coaching and/or playing experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Riding a school bus long periods of time.
- Drive a minibus.
- Must be able to carry 25 pounds.
Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $2,000 – $2,500 per season. This position does not have benefits associated with it due to the part-time nature.
