Dragon Elite Baseball camp will help fine-tune a ballplayer’s fundamentals and improve their skill set. The camp will feature instruction on all areas of baseball, including infield and outfield defense, hitting, pitching, catching, and base running. The camp coaches will utilize position-specific fundamental work in instructor-led stations, game scenarios, and spirited competition. This is a great opportunity for any player looking to improve their game, have fun, and raise their confidence.
Coach Chris Garber is entering his 15th year as the head baseball coach for the Glenelg Country School baseball program. During his tenure, he had helped the team compete at the top of the MIAA B Conference leading the Dragons into the conference playoffs all but his first year in the program, with the 2013 Dragons capturing the Conference Championship. In addition, he and his coaching staff have developed several players who have gone on to play collegiately. Coach Garber played collegiately as a lefthanded pitcher at James Madison University where he was a member of the 1983 College World Series team that has been inducted into the JMU Sports Hall of Fame. In his senior year, he was awarded the Scholar Athlete of the Year. After college, he was a key member of the Arundel Stars as a pitcher/outfielder helping his team to advance to the National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series twice. He has been coaching youth baseball for over 20 years at the travel and high school levels.
