Reimagining the GCS Parent Experience

Building parent and family partnership at GCS

At Glenelg Country School, we believe that raising children to discover, contribute, thrive, and excel is a shared responsibility — one that thrives when families and the school work in true partnership. As we look ahead, we are launching a community-wide process in the spring of 2026 to reimagine the structure and purpose of our Parent and Friends Association.

This initiative is about more than organizational structure. It is an opportunity to create a more modern, inclusive, and inspiring approach to parent engagement; one that reflects the vibrant community we are and the school we are becoming.

Our goal is to develop a parent program that is reflective of 21st-century family life: thoughtful, flexible, and rooted in the GCS mission, where every member of the family considers themselves a Dragon, fully and authentically.

Learn more below, but we hope you’ll join us in this effort by completing the survey in March and participating in one of the focus groups in April. Together, we can build a new model of partnership that enhances the GCS experience for every student and every family.
