Summer in the Country registration opens January 5, 2024!

June 17–July 26, 2024 |  Pre-Kindergarten–Grade 10

Summer in the Country day camps are open to GCS students and Maryland residents.

Adventure Camps

Each day is a different adventure! Campers will spend the session taking a variety of off-campus adventures each day. They will hike in state parks, tour famous historical sites such as Fort McHenry and Annapolis, have an outdoor cookout, play disc golf and more!

Counselor-in-Training Program

The goal of the CIT program is to provide high-school level campers with the information and training needed to become excellent Summer in the Country counselors. The skills and concepts presented will enable campers to learn important life skills. Hands-on activities as well as side-by-side camper/counselor/CIT opportunities are part of the CIT experience.

Specialty Camps

Summer in the Country’s specialty camps offer things you can only experience at Glenelg Country School. There’s so much that campers can do in these camps. From unique Harry Potter and chess camps to superhero and nature explorations, campers take part in fun activities throughout the summer!

Sports Camps

With a focus on soccer and tennis, our Summer in the Country sports camps focus on everything from sport fundamentals to advanced skills and techniques. Our energetic and experienced staff is committed to elevating each camper’s skills regardless of when they began playing—even if camp is their very first time!
