A Fire Safety Lesson from Experts

Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department members visited our youngest students in the Primary Building this fall. Firefighters talked to students about fire safety, including the classic “stop, drop, and roll” actions when confronted with a fire situation. After an engaging demonstration of how a firefighter prepares to respond to a fire emergency—including putting on all of the necessary fire protection gear—Lower School students were treated to a fire engine tour. Students could see all the hoses and equipment up close and even walked through the front of the truck.
