Music Students Dominate at Annual Festival

On Saturday, May 7, middle and upper school music students braved the rain and dominated at the Music in the Parks music festival at Hershey Park, PA. The festival is a day-long event for student choral, orchestral, and band ensembles. 

 

The Middle School choir earned a rating of superior and placed first in their division, while the Middle School band earned a rating of excellent and also placed first in their division.

 

The musical talents of the Upper School equally represented Glenelg Country School. The band earned a rating of excellent and placed second in their division, while the choir earned a rating of superior.

 

Cellist Keegan C. ’27 won Outstanding Student Accompanist for performing To The River I Run by Tom Shelton with the Middle School choir. This is the first time a GCS student has won the award.
