In this creative and collaborative session, children will bring storybook characters off the page and into the real world. Through reading, teamwork, and imagination, campers will transform a favorite story into an exciting live performance. The session will culminate in a fun-filled original creation that showcases everyone’s contributions.

• Creative Collaboration: Campers will work together to bring storybook characters to life through imagination and teamwork.

• Reading & Story Selection: The group will read a variety of stories and select their favorite to adapt.

• Transformation into Performance: Once a story is chosen, the group will decide whether to turn it into a play, puppet show, or musical.

• Active Participation: Every camper will contribute to the project by:
  • Writing the script
  • Composing music
  • Designing sets
  • Crafting puppets or props

• Final Performance: At the end of the session, the campers will showcase their original creation in a fun performance for friends and family.

In this exciting and interactive session, campers will explore the world of picture books and work toward creating their very own. From brainstorming ideas to writing and illustrating, they will have the opportunity to learn all about storytelling while expressing their creativity. At the end of the week, campers will host a special “book reading and signing event” to share their work with friends and family.

• Exploration & Inspiration: Campers will explore and share their favorite picture books to spark their creativity.

• Storytelling Basics: They’ll learn about the parts of a book and what makes a story engaging for an audience.

• Creating Their Own Book: Each camper will write and illustrate their own book, showcasing their creativity.

• Book Cover Design: Campers will design and create posters of their book covers to display.

• Book Reading & Signing Event: At the end of the week, campers will hold a special event to:
  • Read their original book to an audience
  • Offer autographed copies for guests to take home
